Ominous
skies usually indicate something....is in the air.
Today
was an unordinary day by far.
No.
Nothing happened to me personally but well.....
It
began with an email from K telling me that a colleague of his (one
whom everyone dislikes with a passion) won $1.45 Million on nickel
slots over the weekend. Now, it bothers me ALOT to hear that people
who really aren't nice to others nor helpful to others will actually
win loads of dough like that. It's outrageous how a person who probably
doesn't deserve a penny gets that lucky in life. Why doesn't this
ever happen to those who really have paid their dues and should
get this when they need it most? I mean, how many times have YOU
sat at the slot machines and have waited in Lotto lines hoping that
this......this will be your lucky day? I'm shaking my head
because it's so unfair to have to continue playing the cards in
life that we're dealt with when all we really want to do is fold.
But
then I tell myself that perhaps this $1.45 million dollar will bring
that person more troubles and headaches than not and maybe they'll
end up like the person in the next story.
My
dad's friend called this morning when he was out and told me that
it was really urgent that my dad gets in touch with him. So I went
out and about on my merry way running errands and came home to find
out that an acquaintance of my dad's, who rented a place from the
friend who called this morning was found shot dead over the weekend.
It happened in broad daylight and the place where it happened was
in an industrial warehouse/bodyshop type of place. I've spoken to
this guy over the phone several times and never liked his tone nor
his manners and so I wasn't surprised if he had made alot of enemies
along his path in life. Although I do not know the scenario surrounding
his death, I have come to some conclusions inside my overly imaginative
mind. They range from: swindling a rich woman out of alot of dough
and who wants revenge to running away from a loanshark on unpaid
debts to being an illegal alien making his living as a con man by
selling illegal contraband to Asian gangs. I have more theories
but they'd only sound more and more like those HK cinema triad films.
And
then I wonder what that guy's last moments were like. What discussion
or debate ensued and well, it was obvious that it wasn't a good
meeting to begin with if the killer had brought the gun with him
to the warehouse in the first place.

Ominous
skies. $1.45 million. And a murder.
A
most unusual Monday that's for sure.
I'm
out.
