soup & sando

i had dinner with ER Chick again on thursday night. i should really start calling her RN Chick instead since she no longer works in the ER. we had plans to meet up for dinner but her work kept her behind, so i tried to nap in my car while waiting for her. thursdays are usually physically and mentally draining for me and it doesn't help when i've only had under 5 hours of sleep. i would have dozed off in my car if not for the fact that someone may come car jack me in my reclined seat position. it's almost sit-com-like.
i was looking forward to our dinner at panera bread since i love having soup & sandwiches for my meal. some people like mashed potatoes and gravy or mac & cheese for their comfort foods but i like soup & sandwiches. it might surprise some people that there are actually places to eat where they solely serve soup & sandwiches but i wished there were more of these around in LA.

RN Chick decided to go with the tuna salad sandwich with a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

i went with the frontega chicken panini sandwich with a bowl of cream of chicken & wild rice. the food was SO good and it was one of the first meals i've had in a long time where i wanted to eat the food in front of me. of course RN Chick, being the RN that she is started telling me about the issues i would have if i didn't eat enough while taking my pcos meds. let's just say that it was eye-opening and i wouldn't want to end up in a coma. she also is such a good listener and i feel so comforted by her presence to be able to tell her some of the things going on lately.
she was also funny enough to point out my receipt to me. it wasn't until that i looked closer that i decided that i must give a fake name from hereon. maybe something like jennifer or something. i hope people will at least know how to spell that. i never knew there were so many variations on the name winnie. :p
