spent a good portion of the day at my brother's place today. SIL N recently has had some complications with the impending arrival of niece 2 (aka Sofia) so she's been resting a lot at home. i offered to come visit and to spend some time with Jasmine and to just hang out in general. everytime i see Jasmine, she looks different - she's gotten more slender and taller since i last saw her. as a rambunctious 3 and a half year old girl, she's really has developed her own personality. i don't think you will find another 3 and a half year old girl who likes to be as sarcastic as her aunt. :x it must be genetic.

we headed out for some good mexican food for dinner. in LA, there's nothing better than a good plate of mexican grub at great prices. my brother commented to me during dinner that i don't post enough NON-asian cuisine. i suppose that is very true but it's not like i do it on purpose or anything. i usually end up eating asian food on the weekends as i spend most of the my weekday work lunches eating non-asian food.

but i took his note to heart and will hopefully try out other foods aside from asian from hereon. it's good to diversify. i can safely say that i haven't had mexican food in about 2 months. that's a hell of a long time for me considering how much i lvoe mexican food. but in the process of trying to get healthy and eat better, mexican food isn't exactly low in fat. but it's ok to eat this once in a blue moon - especially since Jasmine loves rice and beans. no wonder her poop smells so bad! :x
Sofia is due to arrive on april 3rd. we're not sure if she will wait for her due date, so her arrival could be anytime from now till then. i'm quite excited to see what niece 2 will look like and how similar or different she will be from Jasmine. i'll be sure to post photos when the time comes.
